International applicants talking with a university admissions advisor

What language is the program taught in?

Teaching is in English for the entire six years, and the whole medical curriculum is studied in that language. The Russian test at admission is separate from the language of teaching. Graduates receive the Medical Doctor qualification in General Medicine at the Specialist degree level.

Which entrance tests do I need to take?

There are two tests. Chemistry is the priority examination, and Russian language is the additional one. Both are taken in test format. Since chemistry carries priority status, it usually deserves the larger share of your preparation time.

How can I submit my documents?

There are three options: in person in Moscow, by post to 119991, Moscow, GSP-1, Trubetskaya Street 8, Building 2, or online through the Gosuslugi portal. Ask admissions which option suits your situation best.

Where do I find the rules for entering Russia?

The university publishes migration guidance at https://welcome.sechenov.ru/en/migration-support/. Use it as your primary source and confirm details with the university before making travel plans.

Does acceptance or enrollment come with any guarantee?

No. Admission depends on completing every step, including passing the tests. You become a student only after signing the education contract and paying tuition.

Will my degree be recognized in Saudi Arabia?

Recognition is decided by the authorities of the country where you plan to work, according to their own rules. Graduates can build careers in different countries, but you should check the local requirements yourself.

How much does the program cost?

The first year costs 1,500,000 rubles. The price of later years is not published, so request current figures from admissions.

Where can I find admission campaign details?

General information on the 2026 campaign is posted at https://www.sechenov.ru/admissions/priemnaya-kampaniya-2026/.

Whom do I call?

The admissions office is at +7 (495) 622-98-20 and the call center at +7 (495) 609-14-00.
