The cost of studying at Sechenov University depends on the chosen program. Tuition fees are reviewed annually.

The current prices for this academic year are available on the page of your selected program at the official website: https://international.sechenov.ru or upon request via email: admission@staff.sechenov.ru.

The tuition fees for the next year will be published closer to the start of the 2026 admission campaign.

Due to restrictions on the use of foreign bank cards in Russia, tuition payments can be made through banks that are able to transfer funds to Russia. Students usually choose the most convenient method themselves — through recruiters, acquaintances, or their own banks.

In the near future, the university plans to introduce a payment system that will allow international Visa and MasterCard holders to pay in rubles (with country-specific limitations and a commission of approximately 11.5%), as well as an option to make transfers in USD through an intermediary (5% commission).

For Russian-taught programs, it is important to have a good command of the Russian language.

If you are applying for an English-taught program, a basic level of Russian is sufficient for everyday life in the city.

For admission to Specialist and Bachelor programs, an entrance exam in Russian is required.Additional certificates such as IELTS are not required.

The university does not offer its own scholarships, grants, or discounts.
Scholarships can be obtained in two ways:

  1. Quota from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, which covers tuition fees.Applications for the quota can be submitted via a special form on the official portal.
  2. Winning the International Olympiad “Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project” (for Master’s and PhD programs). Winners receive a scholarship for the following academic year.

Important: The university does not issue recommendation letters, preliminary enrollment documents, or other materials for applying to government scholarships.

Direct transfer is allowed only for students from Russian universities.

International students must apply to the first year and can later request credit for previously completed courses.
